The pursuit of the objectives of our quality policy underlies all our actions:

Choice of raw materials
Equipment configuration
Casting method
• All other fields of intervention that may affect quality

The efficiency of this policy is regularly measured through audits performed by our clients and by external firms, as required for ISO certification. This reinforces our determination to maintain a strategy of intervention oriented towards the continuous improvement or our processes.

At Saguenay Foundry, we proudly believe that this perspective on quality and efficiency enables us to insure the satisfaction of our clients.

 Choice of raw materials

All of Saguenay Foundry’s major suppliers are submitted to periodical control to insure that they comply with our high purchasing standards.

As a result, all pieces cast at Saguenay Foundry are made with the best materials available on the market.

 Equipment configuration

We always build prototypes to validate the design of a new pattern or of a modified pattern. This stage allows us to get the part certified and to establish the compliance of the cast part with the specifications and tolerances provided by the customer.

We also perform regular testing of our material compliance, through destructive and non-destructive test to ensure higher quality standard.

 Casting method

To insure the repeatability of our clients’ orders, each part cast at Saguenay Foundry has its own, detailed computerized data sheet that contains all the information needed for its manufacture. This information is accessible from many stations in our production facility so that all concerned personnel may consult it.

In addition, our staff receives on-going training to remain abreast of the latest production techniques. This also gives them a special sense of the importance of their role in the pursuit of our quality objectives.
