At Fonderie Saguenay, we encourage our people to take advantage of the most state-of-the-art technology, and they have the latest version of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software at their disposition.

Solidworks

This 3D rendering tool is of great help in designing pieces from diagrams, preliminary sketches and other information provided by the customer. Existing 3D files can be imported in various formats. For more details, please contact our Systems Engineer.

This software makes 2D drawings that can be mailed to the customer or sent as digital files in the format of his choice. Sharing files via the Internet speeds up the entire process, helps reduce the risk of error, and allows quick visualization. If our customer does not have access to the Solidworks software, the active 2D or 3D visualization is nevertheless available through the use of the universal "eDrawing" file format, which we can produce upon request by converting "SolidWorks" or "Autocad" files. No specialized software is then needed to view the files.

Autocad

This is the most widely used software in the industry. It is also used here, at Fonderie Saguenay, on a daily basis.
