The distant origins.

1946

In downtown Chicoutimi, operation of a plant including a foundry, fabrication shops, and machine shop under the name "Les Ateliers Émile Couture".

1963

Relocation to the current site of Fonderie Saguenay, under the name "Industries Couture Ltée". Photo

1980

Fonderie Saguenay is established after the acquisition of Industries Couture's foundry assets.

1987

Conversion of the melting process from cupola to induction furnace. Photo.

1998

Successive implementation of two generations of data processing systems devoted to all stages of production.

2002

Changing of molding sand binder to high furfurilic alcohol
